- Optimizes growth of microalgae
- for wastewater treatment.
how it works: equipment
The BiO2 Solution™ includes three primary sets of equipment. A photobioreactor within a greenhouse is used to cultivate the microalgae, where it is then dispersed through manifolds evenly into the lagoon. Energy efficient low-volume air compressors provide air to fine-bubble diffusers ensuring even mixing of the algae. In cold climates, Ammonia Reduction Domes (ARDs) are employed to provide very efficient Nitrogen to Ammonia transfer. The system is grid-connected and can also be powered through optional solar or wind connection to provide a net-zero or net-positive solution.
The system and supporting equipment included in The BiO2 Solution™ is used to maximize the growth of the microalgae and lagoon bacteria, therefore maximizing overall wastewater treatment while minimizing cost of ownership and operation. Most importantly, the system will meet regulatory requirements with far lower cost and lower environmental impact than a traditional mechanical system.
